Adapter Rings allow you to use our standard Digital Camera Couplers (28, 37, 58mm threads) with cameras which have different thread diameters on the lens. Before using a DCC-xx with your camera, make sure that you take adequate precautions to support the camera and borescope. Excess stress placed on the camera lens by attaching an unsupported borescope can damage your camera!!
We try to keep a supply of the most common adapters available, but you should contact us to confirm stock before placing your order if a day or two delay is not acceptable.
The first number listed is the thread diameter on your camera lens. The second number is one of the thread diameters of our DCC-xx Camera Couplers.
In most cases, you will need a camera with a telephoto lens that is at least 320mm (equivalent 35mm camera focal length) at the long zoom setting. If the focal length is too short, then the resulting image will not adequately fill the frame. It is best if most of this telephoto is from optical zoom.
In some cases the camera will require an adapter tube, which screws into the camera body, before you can use a filter or accessory lens. If the adapter tube did not come with your camera, you will need to purchase one directly from the camera manufacturer. You will often find this listed on an Accessories page for the particular camera model on the manufacturer's web site.
