The Piggyback Charger lets you keep the Nova and a spare battery on the charger at the same time. If your battery runs out while you are using the Nova, just exchange batteries with the one in the charger. Your discharged battery will charge while you continue to work. Using the battery through full discharge helps to extend battery life.
The Piggyback charger and spare battery is available for those already have a Nova Light Source. If you don't already have a Nova, then you should order the NOVA-PB, which is a Nova Light Source and Piggyback Charger at a special package price.
